Support your team of AVON Representatives

Although I am still a TSL - I have a few Representatives that I have recruited and felt it important to find out how they were getting on and support them when necessary.

Today I visited one of my Reps, who although has been doing brilliantly, I could see that with a few simple suggestions or ideas, could excel and perhaps double or triple her orders.

I went along and spent about 45 minutes or so having a chat and passing on some of what I have learned along the way. Here are some of the things I mentioned...

- She will need more than 15 brochures to get around 120 houses and other friends and family (40 would probably be a lot better)
- Be RELIABLE, go back and get the brochures on the day you said, leave a note for those who didn't leave it out, and be prepared to go back again and door knock if necessary - the more brochures you have left to re-use the more customers you can reach.
- Be friendly and confident, door knocking and starting with a smile and "AVON Calling!" is easy enough and usually a great ice-breaker.
- Ask some family and friends if they would mind showing their colleagues at work (for example).
- Take the brochure to any family gatherings or other occasions you may have lined up.
- Consider having a coffee morning at the local cafe and inviting a handful of people.
- Make sure all your existing and previous customers get a look at each Campaign brochure.
- Try putting the brochures around to the houses on your list that you have not yet been to (you may pick up some new reliable repeat ordering customers.
- Consider buying some demo products and mentioning them or showing them to customers.
- Give out your free samples to customers and potential customers.
- Start using your POB - explained a bit of what it is and how to use it etc.
- Showed her how to use the Hello Tomorrow brochure and told her about maybe back-ordering sometimes when certain products were cheaper in the past Campaign.
- Reminded her that we can still use last Campaign's brochures, so to get around to some of the houses she has not yet visited.
- Suggested making a small diary of AVON organization - where and when she would find 10 - 20 minutes to put books out, collect them etc etc.
- Suggested making a spreadsheet (or list) of all the existing and previous customers so far, so that she can grow the list and SEE it growing.

I am sure there were a few more points that we discussed - but these were the main ones and she said it had been quite helpful and given her a few things to think about getting started on.
